Little Boat
Oil on Canvas board, 12" x 16"
Sold at $50.00 plus shipping.
At first I couldn't get the drawing of this little boat right, and kept correcting, until I realized that it was moving in the breeze. Duh. I took a bunch of photos at this spot also, so you'll see this wonderful little boat again. Thanks for looking.
Oh, I love this - it's so peaceful. I also love the imagery of boats, especially small rowboats like this. I remember my pastor delivering a sermon with a reference (literary, I think)to "Oh, Lord, the ocean is so vast and my boat is so small."
This painting is so beautiful. It has a feeling of the tranqility of late summer in it for me. And the touches of red are wonderful in the composition. So lovely! Cindy at Rosehaven Cottage
What a gorgeous scene...so romantic and serene. How funny that the boat was moving and you thought your drawing was wrong. I'm glad you figured it out and also glad you told what happened...a good thing to remember that it's not just the light that changes but the wind and currents move things around too.
Welcome to my daily painting blog. Here I'll post my efforts to paint one small painting a day, with a little wiggle room by saying five per week. I work primarily in oils these days, but also love my watercolors. I hope you enjoy my work, and as always, your comments are welcome.

And so it has taken me all of sixty years to understand that water is the finest drink, and bread the most delicious food, and that art is worthless unless it plants a measure of splendor in people's hearts. ~ Taha Muhammad Ali ~
