Maple Dreaming - SOLD

Maple Dreaming Oil on Stretched Canvas, 12" x 16" SOLD at $75.00 plus shipping. It has been cool here in Maryland the past couple of days, clear, crisp almost fall weather. The kind of days that make you want socks instead of flip flops. It also makes me want to paint fall colored paintings. So here's one for today. I've used the photo from Wauwinet Road before and I like this one just as well. Thanks for looking.

Lemons for Corinne - SOLD

Lemons for Corinne Oil on Stretched Canvas, 8" x 16" SOLD. Interestingly enough, I haven't gotten tired of doing these lemon paintings. It's interesting to me anyway. I hope you haven't gotten tired of seeing them. This is the last for awhile. On to a landscape, and a couple more magnolias.

Lemons for Linda - SOLD

Lemons for Linda Oil on Stretched Canvas, 8" x 16" SOLD. I am back "home" again after a nice stay at my cousins' beautiful home. I decided to just keep satisfying some of my request paintings. So here's yet another long lemon painting. They really are so fresh and crisp looking, aren't they?

Experimental Still Life - SOLD

Experimental Still Life Oil on Stretched Canvas, 16" x 16" SOLD at $60.00 plus shipping. A larger painting today, and I experimented with being "painterly" and used a bristle brush instead of my usual softer brushes. It had a nice feel to it, but I think I need to work on the difference between having it look "loose" and painting "loose." Isn't that a Richard Schmid saying? Loose is how it should look, not how it is painted.

Figs with Mug - SOLD

Figs with Mug Oil on Stretched Canvas, 6" x 6" SOLD at $45.00 plus $5.00 shipping. Another pocket painting today. This one with the figs treated a bit more cleanly. Aren't they pretty with those great colors? I really tried hard not to blend, blend, blend on this one, and for the most part was able to be restraiined with it. Of course the figs had to be touched up, but I'm hoping to get to the point where I can do a painting without blending at all.
