Apple and Chintz - SOLD

Apple and Chintz Oil on Stretched Linen Canvas, 10" x 10" SOLD at $45.00 plus shipping. I was excited about this one, until I realized that I'd kind of lost the cups in all the fun chintz fabric. I've had trouble with these cups before, they are such an odd color of green gray. No reason I shouldn't be able to paint them, though. Hmmm. Another try, I guess.

Single Green Pear - SOLD

Single Green Pear Oil on Ampersand Panel, 5" x 5" SOLD at $20.00, includes shipping. Last time I was at Plaza Art I picked up some little Ampersand boards on sale. But they are tiny, only 5" x 5", so I'll probably just use them for singles. They have red tinted clear Gesso (red acrylic paint) on them, so there could be tinges of red shining through.

A Little Less Boring - SOLD

Stripes help, certainly, and those are interesting. So I am going to try to make them a little less boring, for you and for me. More unusual compositions, different lighting, that sort of thing. Isn't this better?

A very simple still life today. It actually turned out more "stark" than I thought it would, with all the soft orange of the cloth. The white of the dishes looks very white, doesn't it?
