I put down a wash of yellow on the sky and water, and a wash of blue on the land, in anticipation of trying a sublte study in greyswith the palette knives. All my mixes were greyed, either with their complements or with a tube grey. Nice, huh? I like the softness of it. The painting extends around top, sides and bottom, so no framing is necessary.
