I've been studying my price points this week, seeing at what prices I get sales. It seems that between $20 and $30 is where my collectors want paintings. After talking it over with my art buddy, I will be listing the price on each painting where I think it should be, and where I think it will sell. (Recession Price.) My art buddy also suggests that I get a "real job" and maybe put the painting career on hold for awhile. (Since I'm barely covering expenses at this price point.)

I wonder if anyone out there knows of a work-at-home situation that isn't a scam?

I have been doing some hydrangeas (not posted) to fill a request, so decided to keep right on going.
This one is a bit different than my usual technique, in that I used a palette knife to apply the petals, and then went back into the bloom with just a few brush marks. The entire painting feels pretty bold and direct to me, hence the "extreme."

My Morning Glories have exhausted themselves. Today I had only a few of the small purples. I think we are pretty much done. I'm so glad I took lots of photos.

This is yesterday's painting, much revised. I scraped off the entire sky and water, and gave it blue sky instead of clouds and overcast (figure who wants to hand an overcast day on their wall?) I cleaned up the yellows, and explained the blank dark space with bluer pines in front. I added tree trunks to the background grey, and made the water cleaner.
Ahhh, much better!
