Red Green Pepper - SOLD

Red Green Pepper Oil on Stretched Canvas, 5" x 6" SOLD at $35.00 plus $5.00 shipping. Another view of the lovely two-toned pepper from yesterday. These would make a nice matched set, I think, since they are both the same size an type of canvas, and I will gladly sell them together for a bit less. How about $55.00 plus $5.00 shipping, for the both? Nice accents for a kitchen wall, maybe.

Two Toned Pepper - SOLD

Two Toned Pepper Oil on Stretched Canvas, 5" x 6" SOLD at $35.00 plus $5.00 shipping. From a Delaware roadside fruit and veggie stand, some pretty two toned peppers for painting. There will be several coming up.

Leaving the Beach

Leaving the Beach Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas, 10" x 10" x 1.5" Available at $75.00 plus shipping. This is the revision on the last painting I posted. Yesterday was moving day, and thanks to my cousin and his daughters, everything got moved, and I am slowly getting settled in my "new digs." I think the road looks better now, more like gravel. Thanks for looking.

Leaving the Beach, See Revised Version

Leaving the beach Revised on August 22, 2010 Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas, 10" x 10" x 1.5" Available at $75.00 plus shipping. We had the day yet at the beach house, before driving home, and while my young cousin and her friends were at the ocean, I painted the lane that leads to the house. Again with the morning shadows. The road is gravel, and I need to adjust the color, since right now it looks a bit too much like the sky color, but if you can visualize that, you've got the picture. (More gray-blue, I think.)

AM Dockside - SOLD

AM Dockside Oil on Canvas Panel, 9" x 12" SOLD at $65.00 plus shipping. I simply don't get tired of facing either way down by the dock, especially in the morning, when the light is so fine, and painting the water and the view of the shore. This is the last, though, of the plein air paintings, as we drive back to the DC area tomorrow. What a great week!

The Blue Umbrella - SOLD

The Blue Umbrella Oil on Canvas Panel, 9" x 12" (or 6" x 12") This is the Cropped Version SOLD at $50.00 plus shipping. This is the uncropped version. Since it's a canvas panel, a framer could easily take a jigsaw to it, and I think the shorter version works better. Just those few inches off, makes a better composition. It's a lovely place to sit, watch the sunset, read a book, feel the breezes, listen to the seagulls.

Rainy Day Porch Sitting - SOLD

Rainy Day Porch Sitting Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas, 10" x 10" x 1.5" SOLD at $75.00 plus shipping Usually with the gallery wrapped canvases, I extend the painting all around, but with this one, I plan to just paint a solid "frame" color (I am thinking grey blue) around the top, sides, and bottom. We've had a lot of rain here last night and this morning, so it was the porch for me and my paints. The porch is very appealing, great place to sit and visit, read, play games, all screened in so you get the lovely breezes, but no buggies.

Morning Light - SOLD

Morning Light
Oil on Canvas Panel, 11" x 14"
SOLD at $65.00 plus shipping.

Yes, it's the same view. Isn't it interesting though, how every time you paint the same scene, it turns out differently? And then it clouded over, and then I sat on the dock and painted a little guy while the sky did interesting things, and I sat in the sprinkles.

Uncertain Sky - SOLD

Uncertain Sky Oil on Gessoed Panel, 6" x 6" SOLD at $35.00 plus $5.00 shipping. Sitting on the dock, and when it started to cloud over and rain, it actually felt really nice. The oils aren't bothered by water, so I simply painted in the sprinkles. Beautiful multi-colored sky.

Morning Shadows - SOLD

Morning Shadows Oil on Stretched Canvas, 11" x 14" SOLD at $65.00 plus shipping. Nice contrasts again this morning, the sunshine cutting across the grass, and the wonderful lavender shadows on the wet sand. Thanks for the nice comments, everyone!

The House at Pasture Cove - SOLD

The House at Pasture Cove Oil on Stretched Canvas, 10" x 10" SOLD at $50.00 plus shipping. Buildings are really not my forte, even though I love the look of them in other painters' work. But every once in awhile I try. This one I used mostly palette knife, and tried mostly for the values, without paying too much attention to exacting lines and angles.

Overcast with Stripes- SOLD

Overcast with Stripes Oil on Canvas Panel, 9" x 12" SOLD at $55.00 plus shipping. It clouded over this afternoon, but there was a good breeze, so I got some ruffling in the towels on the line. That gave me some nice shadows. Thanks for looking.

Morning Clothesline -NA

Morning Clothesline -Not Available

Oil on Stretched Canvas, 10" x 10"

This one is a gift to "The Beach House" and one of it's owners. Our morning started out with spots of sunshine, so I collected the sunny moments, and quick painted them in.

Shore View - SOLD

Shore View Oil on Canvas Panel, 11" x 14" SOLD at $65.00 plus shipping. Another view from the front/bay yard, looking in the opposite direction as in the post below. It has felt great to pick up my oils and brushes today, glad to be back at it. Who would NOT be inspired by a gorgeous day and a beautiful place?

Morning View - SOLD

Morning View Oil on Stretched Canvas, 11" x 14" SOLD at $65.00 plus shipping. I have the lovely opportunity to be at "The Beach House" again this summer, and oh, how wonderful. Today was just glorious, and I had fun painting all morning. This is a view from just before the dock. No blending, just rough brush work, with sunshine and shadow making wonderful contrasts.

Pear Line Up 2 - SOLD

Pear Line Up 2 Watercolor on Paper, 9" x 12" SOLD at $25.00 plus $3.00 mailing. The painting from the other day was popular, so I've done another. These pears though, are ready to be eaten. I'm not sure if I can squeeze one more painting out of them, but they sure are beautiful. Such color!

Bay View - SOLD

Beach House Bay View Watercolor on Arches Paper, 3" x 8" SOLD at $20.00 plus $3.00 mailing. Nothing like sitting at the end of a dock, looking out over water. You just don't want to move from a spot like that.

Fall Tree Line

Fall Tree Line Watercolor with Pen and Ink, 4.5" x 6.5" Available at $20.00 plus $3.00 mailing. I added sepia and black ink to this loose fallish watercolor.

Pear Line Up - SOLD

Pear Line Up Watercolor on Arches paper, 9" x 12" SOLD at $25.00 plus $3.00 mailing. More fun with the Forelle pears. I think I like this one the best of the series so far. A little loose pen and ink in this one.

Pear Subtraction - SOLD

Pear Subtraction Watercolor on Arches Paper, 9" x 12" SOLD at $20.00 plus $3.00 mailing. Playing with these gorgeous Forelle pears again. This watercolor is a bit looser and splashier than yesterdays' painting.
