Once again, I have run out of canvas, and am using painting income to do shipping. So it's time for a watercolor or two. This one is basically from my imagination, twisty and frilly. The blue one is (intended to be) two irises, one behind the other.

I had painted this one last week, and called it "Ablaze at Wildwood." (Scroll down five posts to see.) Since it didn't sell, I decided to play around with it. I added more green, added more sky holes, used a palette knife to make it a bit more complicated and textured, and lowered the ground line. Much better now, I think. More "leafy" looking.

I imagine you are tired of all the oranges and reds of fall. Today we have rain and cold, and the colors are more browns and lavenders outdoors. Wet colors.
