Strawberry Grouping Oil on Canvas Panel, 8" x 10" SOLD. This one is a combination of loose and swishy technique and then careful and blended on the berries. Strawberry Abundance Oil on Stretched Canvas, 10" x 10" Not Available, overpainted. Another unstructured piece, just lay the paint down and leave it. I found some nice fabrics at Hobby Lobby the other day, polka dots and this checkerboard fabric. So I thought I'd try it out here, make the painting more interesting. This one was fun, very direct. I was looking around for something to put the pears in, so I could take them from the studio to the house, and I found this paper bag. I am truly trying to not "blend" on this one. It's hard, because my brush and my hand want to go there. But I really like the look of a painting where you can tell that an artist just put the stroke down and left it be. Or as I tell myself, "Lay it down and leave it!" (little mantra for painters.) I did better on the middle and bottom pears, more painterly. Do you like the look too?Thanks for viewing.

Yellow Bounty Oil on Canvas Board, 8" x 10" Not Available. I am thinking of a series of paintings of "bounty", all bunches of things tumbled together. Red bounty could be strawberries, apples, red peppers. Purple could be a tumbled mess of plums, maybe eggplant. You get the idea. I've got pears next, a bunch ready to go for green.
