Cheery Cherry Pie - SOLD
Cheery Cherry Pie
Oil on Canvasboard
6" x 8"
Sold at $30.00 plus shipping.
I wanted to do the cherry pie again, and just for comparison, I have included below the first one I did in February. It's interesting to see the differences and similarities. My viewpoint was different on this one, same plate though. Thanks for looking.

Done in connection with a study group in which I am participating, working on value with only ultramarine blue and yellow ochre. Sometimes a limited palette gives some lovely results. I also want to do this one again in full color. Thanks for looking.

Wauwinet Road in Shadow - SOLD
Wauwinet Road in Shadow
16" x 20"
Oil on Canvas board
Sold at $75.00 plus shipping
This was one of those larger paintings that you can just keep pecking away at. I fianlly just had to stop and call it done. (Although I'm sure I'll make some minor adjustments tomorrow.) Roads are just so appealing, and this is just in front of my daughter's house, looking down the way. I like how it turned out. Thanks for looking.

Queen of May One - SOLD
Queen of May One
6" x 8"
Oil on Canvas board
Sold at $45.00 plus shipping.
For Mother's Day we all went to a nursery/garden center and meandered along the paths, enjoying and picking flowers and plants for the garden. My daughter and her DH bought me some lovely things to plant, among them this incredible iris, with one bloom and five promises. Of course it wanted to be painted today. It IS the Queen of May. Thanks for looking.

The Jimmy Tree _SOLD
12" x 12"
Oil on Canvas board
Sold at $40.00 plus shipping.
There is a wonderful "kid tree" in my daughter's front yard, with an outreaching branch which calls to all sorts of kids. I named it the Jimmy Tree today, because I can see my older grandson climbing in his tree fort there. Also very common in this part of Massachusets is the old stone wall along the road. They are everywhere, meandering and moss covered, and my daughter's front yard has one of those as well. A nice time painting in the sunshine today. Thanks for looking.
