Cherries with Copper Pot
Cherries with Copper Pot
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 5" x 7"
Available at $50.00 plus $5.00 shipping
Have you bought cherries yet this summer? I could not believe the price at the DC Safeway, wowza! So I bit the bullet and bought some anyway; filled this little copper pot (from the laundry room) with a bunch, but only painted three in front of the pot. Another cherry painting coming up, while I munch on a few as well.

Victorian Lady Pansies - SOLD
Victorian Lady Pansies
Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas, 5" x 5" x 1.25"
SOLD to my Pansy Collector
Detail Below
My cousin still had a few gasping pansies (getting too hot for these little guys), and I noticed this color, so very lovely. I have a collector who adores pansies, and had mentioned pink pansies as something she might want, so this one is for her. Sort of a soft pinky lavender, and it looks like something in a Victorian style, doesn't it?

Burnt Orange Pansies - SOLD
Burnt Orange Pansies Wrapped
Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas, 8" x 10" x 1.25"
SOLD.
This one is for a collector who missed out on the burnt orange pansies last time, and requested a slightly larger one with gallery wrapped edges. I hope she likes it! I clipped a few lavender ones left in the garden, and they said it would be okay if I changed their color. Gracious little pansies.

Hal's Hydrangeas - SOLD
Hal's Hydrangeas
Oil on Gallery Wrapped Linen, 11" x 14" x 1.25"
SOLD at $80.00 plus shipping.
It's been awhile since I've posted, and it's because I've waited for paintings to dry, anticipating a little move. I'm house sitting for my favorite cousins (it's their way of giving me a little vacation, their place is so lovely.) I feel like I'm on sabbatical or something, or maybe at a retreat. Anyway, I found one of their handmade pottery pitchers ( made by my cousin) and clipped some nice hydrangea stems, and set it up with the soft yellow wall in shadow as background. It's the rougher type of painting I sometimes do and I like how it came out. The painting will continue around the sides, so no frame is needed.

Coral Irises Set - SOLD
Coral Irises One and Two
Watercolor on 140 lb watercolor paper, 8" x 19" each
SOLD
Awhile back I did a full sized peony watercolor, and now these two are to be bookends to that piece, and to match corals in the decor of the room. The background color of the paper is actually the same, since they are painted on the same sheet of paper, but I adjusted them each a little differently. Didn't they turn out nicely?
