 OK. Although I worked pretty hard on this one, I'm not too happy with it. Something kind of boring about it. Or perhaps it's the shape of the polka dot bowl. They can't all be winners, right? But I figured with the colors, it might just be the ticket for someone, somewhere a spot of bright and blue might work. You never know.

At first there were two halves of kiwi above the vetical wedge of lemon, and it looked so much like two eyes and a nose, that I really had to change it. It's a pretty sketchy painting, but kind of cool.

This is a palette knife painting, with edges wrapped and painted as an extension of the face painting. I first posted it on May 14, this year, but it didn't sell. So I've revised it a bit, added more light in the sky areas, and I think it works better. It really is a lovely piece, rich with subtle colors and textures.

This one has just the right colors, and is just complicated enough to be interesting. The peaches turned out looking peachy, so I'm pleased with it. The peaches sat under the lights, so now they really do need to be eaten.

Okay, I was in a rush today, trying to get a lot of errands done, sent out some paintings, did some groceries, you know , here and there, little stops in traffic that all take time. So this one, well....not the best, maybe too monochromatic, but figured tomorrow is another peachy day. More time for painting. On a separate note, I have been hired to teach an oils class to an ongoing group of students in the Chevy Chase area. It's a varied group, but most of them have had quite a bit of experience painting, plus a few beginners. Pepper Pair - SOLD

Pepper Pair Oil on Ampersand Panel, 6" x 6" SOLD at $40.00 plus shipping. The Amerpand panels for oils and acrylics are kind of cool. They are basically wooden panels, 3/8" thick with canvas (or a painting surface) on the front, and a hole in the back for hanging. I will paint the edges, so this one can be hung straight onto the wall or framed, as the collector prefers. This will be the last of the pepper paintings, I'm eating these guys now.

Yesterday was moving day, and thanks to my cousin and his daughters, everything got moved, and I am slowly getting settled in my "new digs." I think the road looks better now, more like gravel. Leaving the Beach, See Revised Version

We had the day yet at the beach house, before driving home, and while my young cousin and her friends were at the ocean, I painted the lane that leads to the house. Again with the morning shadows. The road is gravel, and I need to adjust the color, since right now it looks a bit too much like the sky color, but if you can visualize that, you've got the picture. (More gray-blue, I think.)
