I bought two little geraniums in pots at our local florist, Goldsmiths Nursery, simply because there wern't any tulips or daffodils to be had. I love the fact that in a small town, you can go in and browse, leave money and a note, and never see a shopkeeper.
I started this as I would any oil painting, but I liked it so well as a sketch that I decided to leave it rough, and really didn't blend anything but the cast shadow a bit. Thanks for looking.
