Carnations on Black Two - NA

Carnations on Black Two Oil on Canvas board, 8" x 8" Not Available The carnations were still good, so I reset them and tried again. Interesting viewpoint, isn't it? I set them on a folding chair next to me, so I could look sideways and down on them. This one seemed easy, I think sometimes you have to make a painting before you can paint a painting. The second one is almost always easier. Thanks for looking.

Carnations on Black - SOLD

Carnations on Black Oil on Canvas board, 8" x 8" SOLD. I have wanted to try a black background for a while now, and decided these carnations would be a good place to try it out. I love the way it makes other colors pop out, especially the red. I'll be using it again, I think. Thanks for looking.

One at a Time - SOLD

One at a Time Oil on Canvas board, 12" x 16" Sold at $50.00 plus shipping This is how the road in front of the house looks right now, brilliant color tree by tree. Fall is a bit late this year, usually by Columbus Day things are at peak. But the weather's been so nice still that we are not complaining. Thanks for looking.

Hamilton Orchard Three - NA

Hamilton Orchard Three Oil on Canvas board, 10" x 12" Not Available. This is actually yesterday's painting, but our internet connection was down last night, and I couldn't post, so putting it up this morning. I worked on a still life that wasn't happening, so did a quick and swishy landscape instead from the same photos of the orchards. I do think my landscape style is evolving into a more daring application of paint, which I like. Thanks for looking.

Risky Apples - SOLD

Risky Apples Oil on Canvas board, 9" x 12" Sold at $25.00 plus shipping. I wanted to try a still life lengthwise and see what happened, and although I really like some of the brushwork, and the colors, the composition is just not good. What an odd piece. Unless we take risks and try new things, though, how would we grow? So I've posted this one, and named it after the sense of risk taking and stretching to grow. Thinking that it might appeal to someone. Thanks for looking.
