I'm pretty happy with the final version. It has a nice combination of pastel spring colors without being too cutesy. I got enough ochre, olive and brown in there to offset the pastel colors. Yay, me!

There was such a nice response to my post of a WIP yesterday, that I was excited to try another version of the Spring Forest. (Marie liked her painting, and we agreed on a couple of adjustments. I'll post it when it's done.) I took all day with this one, but I'm thinking my patience paid off. I like it pretty well. (Reminds me of our local Brookside Gardens.)

This one has been sitting in my apartment for awhile, and wanted some revising. The lavender color is new, and a little more pleasant than the brownish mauve color I had before. New life for old paintings.

My models are starting to droop a little, so this may be their last chance to get used. We'll see.
But isn't this a terrific color?

It's been awhile since I've done a hydrangea, but am reminded by seeing my little grocery store plant from last year coming up nicely in my garden this spring. A small and pleasant treat! It is already promising some blooms.
