Watercolor on Arches paper, 12" x 16"
SOLD at $23.00 plus $7.00 shipping.
This one was done a bit differently. I let more flow and run happen, so it's a little more "arty" than most of my irises. I like the effect.

Working on my lesson plan for Florals on Wednesday for my class, the first one was to paint and write the lesson, the second to "field test" my instructions. The color of the blooms is a rich Ultramarine blue, not as green-blue as it appears on my laptop, maybe yours too.

I tried for a pristine little painting here, and ate the still life as soon as I was done, one of those big, juicy navel oranges that you see in winter.
On another note, I thought this video was worthwhile watching, about Edgar Payne.
