I'm not sure what kind of trees they are, not maples, but they turn this bright light yellow in the sun, which is just gorgeous. I took two days on this one, including some time with the canvas outside, even though it's pretty big.

This plein air piece sold, but the collector gave me permission to revise it a bit, since I wasn't quite happy with it. I made the water more reflective of the sky (that is, I made it blue) and changed the left side altogether, and fixed the grass in the foreground. Ahh, much better.

Makes me feel a little like Georgia, well, just kidding. But it is fun once in awhile. The red ones are harder, since most of my red colors are somewhat transparent, and it takes a lot of blending to get it all looking right. Thanks for looking!

Barn in Fall Oil on Linen, 11" x 14" SOLD at $75.00 plus shipping. Linen is such a treat to work on, it just has a different feel to it from cotton canvas. It feels expensive. It feels easier. Plaza has a wonderful sale on canvas going on right now, so I was able to treat myself to a couple of stretched linen canvases, mmmm. I'm not great at architectural things, but I think this one turned out nicely.
