This one has a bit of a history. It used to be a waterfall, repainted three times. Then yesterday I took a razor knife and scraped much of the old paint off. In the process, I made a small slice in the canvas, about 1/4" near the bottom. It's been patched with new paint (and you probably would have to really search to find it.)

It's a second version of the one I did day before yesterday (see post below this one) for a collector who really liked that one, but this one not so much. This does have a lot of texture, because of the paint underneath. Hence, the lower price.

A simple sand dune for our seascape lesson at Michaels on Wednesday. The first one has some Pumice Gel added to the sand for texture. Just something fun for my "kids" to try.

We have a still life lesson this week at Michaels, so I decided to try some peaches, which we haven't painted in class before. I think when I design the pattern, I'll tip one of the peaches down (on the top one) so there's a little more interest.

I have this gorgeous bouquet of roses, and wanted to do one more before they fade entirely. This is one of those picky paintings where you could just keep on going all day, blending and edging and refining. I stopped, and now I get to wash brushes (not my favorite chore.) I am thinking sometime of doing a HUGE rose on a large canvas, where I can picky on a grand scale.

This one will be painted on top, sides, bottom, so no frame is needed.

I repainted the "Fall Colors" from the other day, and I must say how much fun it is to paint with oils on top of acrylics. You have a nice underpainting, and you can refine and adjust to your heart's content. I really like this one.

Two examples for our Wednesday class. This is what my ladies wanted to do for our landscape lesson, and I figured I'd show them different sky treatments and different pine colors, one more olive and one more blue-green. I do rather like the sky in number two. Don't they look like they are watching over the valley?
