Country Mood - SOLD

Country Mood
Oil on Primed Loose Canvas, 16" x 16"
SOLD at $20.00 plus $7.00 shipping.

Time for a landscape, after some still life work. This is the first time I've put telephone poles in from my photo reference, and I find I like them. Since this one is loose, it can be cropped down to a 14" x 14", or maybe even a 12" x 12."

Pears on Pear Dishtowel - SOLD

Pears on Pear Dishtowel
Oil on Primed Loose Canvas, 10" x 12"
SOLD at $25.00 plus $7.00 shipping.

Just a fun idea, putting pears on pears (which is why I picked up the dishtowel in the first place.)

Delicate Irises (SOLD) and a Lesson

Delicate Irises
Oil on Primed, Loose Canvas, 10" x 13"
SOLD at $50.00 plus $7.00 shipping.

This is the painting on which I based my new lesson. The lesson is available at $20.00, and will include two emails, totalling 13 pages of illustrations and instructions, plus the photo reference and a drawing for transfer to canvas. Please write to me at NelVanL@aol.com for a copy of the lesson, and payment instuctions.

Lilies on Black - SOLD

Lilies on Black
Oil on Loose Primed Canvas, 12" x 12"
SOLD at $35.00 plus $7.00 shipping

This one is painted with sketchiness, though usually I blend and smooth flowers. Not this one. I've left plenty of canvas around all the edges, so this one can be stretched to frame, or mounted. Thanks for looking.

Pear Trio - SOLD

Pear Trio
Oil on Primed Loose Canvas, 8" x 8"
SOLD at $20 plus $7 shipping.

This one could also be cropped to a 6" x 6" format.

Shiny Pears - SOLD

Shiny Pears
Oil on Loose Primed Canvas, 7" x 11"

A quick and sketchy painting today. I am pleased to tell you that all dry paitings have now been shipped. Those not sent still have spots of wet paint, dating back about 2 weeks. Thanks!

Line of Apples - SOLD

Line of Apples
Oil on Primed Loose Canvas, 8" x 22"
SOLD at $30.00 plus $7.00 shipping.

This one is on loose canvas, and I've left extra canvas around the edges for framing.

Over the Bridge, Lake Artemesia

Over the Bridge, Lake Artemesia
Oil on Archival Wallis paper, 10" x 14"
Available at $35.00, includes shipping

Late fall colors, from the walking bridge at the lake.

Distant Shoreline - SOLD

Distant Shoreline
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 12" x 12"
SOLD at $30, shipping included

In the spirit of Thanksgiving leftovers (that yummy turkey sandwich), I am posting another revised older painting that didn't sell. I have brightened the blues, lowered the shoreline, and generally tweaked this palette knife piece. It's highly textured, just so you know. Some of the palette knife work does show here.

Thanksgiving Trees - SOLD

Thanksgiving Trees
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 12" x 12"
SOLD at $30 plus $7 shipping.

Another fall scene for today.
I hope that you are all enjoying this lovely holiday, and that your homes are filled with good smells, good fellowship and thankful hearts.

SOLD at $23.00 plus $7.00 shipping

Still playing with the nice fall colors, but going towards more muted tones. I like some of these more subtle colors. Hope you are all looking forward to a lovely Thanksgiving tomorrow.

The Colors of Fall - SOLD

The Colors of Fall
Oil on board, 8" x 10"
SOLD at $35.00 plus $5.00 shipping

This one was done from imagination. I don't think the light would ever really be like this, but artistic license gives me permission to make things up. Nice, isn't it? I'm not quite ready to set aside my oranges and yellows, but soon.

Dried Hydrangeas - SOLD

Dried Hydrangeas
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 8" x 8" x 1/2"
SOLD at $30.00 plus $7.00 shipping.

This one is painted around the edges, so it doesn't need a frame, though you could frame it if you liked. I like the subtle colors of hydrangeas dried up.

Foggy Fall Day

Foggy Fall Day
Oil on Archival Canvas Paper, 14" x 14"
Available at $65.00 plus $7.00 shipping

Sometimes it's just fun to play with soft edges, and subtle color shifts for a foggy look.
Done from another Massachusetts photo of Wauwinet Road in Barre, taken on a foggy day.

Autumn Color Splash - SOLD

Autumn Color Splash
Oil on Archival Canvas Paper, 8" x 16"
SOLD at $30 plus $7 shipping.

From a photo. In this neck of the woods, the colors are almost gone. Most of the leaves are down now, and the temperature feels like winter. It has been a beautiful fall, though. Now to hunker down for the long winter.

The Sunday Drive

The Sunday Drive
Oil on Archival Canvas Paper, 14" x 14"
Available at $65 plus $7 shipping.

I'm probably dating myself, but do you remember "drives" as entertainment? As recreation? As what you did on a beautiful Sunday afternoon? (In our case, the destination was the "Skyline Drive.") This just feels like one of those afternoons.

Puddles in the Road - SOLD

Puddles in the Road
Oil on Archival Canvas Paper, 14" x 14"
SOLD at $65.00 plus $7 shipping.

Another fall scene, just after a rain. I was tryng for a soft atmosphere with this one.

Backlit Maples 3 - SOLD

Backlit Maples 3
Oil on Archival Canvas Paper, 12" x 12"
SOLD at $40, includes shipping.

This will be the third version of the maple image. I think I'm done with it now.

Wauwinet Road, Fall - SOLD

Wauwinet Road, Fall
Oil on Canvas Paper, 12" x 16"
SOLD at $50 plus $7 shipping.

The fall series continues with paintings done from Massachsetts photos. There's nothing quite like the colors of maples. I'm very happy with this one.
