I wasn't sure it would work, since I simply followed the colors I saw: pink, blue, lavender, browns, mauves, grey, yellow, yellow-green. But it all came together, and isn't it punchy?

I've been a bit ebay crazy lately, but I actually calmed down enough for awhile today to paint. It felt so peaceful. Hence the name. Black paper was the logical and dramatic choice today. (I'm preparing to move, again.)

I let some of the red peek through in spots (see detail) to provide a little extra vibration in the color. Neat effect from Caroline Jasper, who is a master on the dotting technique. I took one of her workshops awhile back. I really love the way this one turned out, and for a change, no road or path! Thanks for looking.

Long Landscape - SOLD

Long Landscape Oil on Stretched Canvas, 8" x 16" SOLD at $50.00 plus shipping. Detail Below. Another palette knife landscape, also covering up another painting that didn't work. This time I was able to do a bit of manipulating with clouds and sky. That seems to have worked. This is a fairly bright painting, lots of fresh color, not much subdued here. You can see from the detail how much paint gets layered on the canvas this way.
