I had a couple of good Veteran's Day coupons from Michaels, so picked up a mirror yesterday to do this with. The really tricky thing about a self portrait for a truly near sighted artist, is looking in the mirror with your glasses on to see, and then trying to take them off for the look you want. Hmmm. This is not too bad, the eyes got too big and they look a little buggy, but I'll try to fix that. I wore the scarf to try to hide some of my "wattle" LOL. Last time I did a portrait of myself, I saw my brother Bruce in it, this time I just saw glimpses of "Jansen."
