This one is actually a preparation painting for a larger version in a 30" x 40" size. The collector wanted a sense of greens and gold tones, so I used a lot of oranges and ochre tones. I also wanted a quietness and soft light, not too crisp. Like the air is balmy. I like the variety of greens in it, and that sweet little pond tucked into the valley. I plan to put cows there in the larger version.
