Autumn Serene - SOLD
Autumn Serene
12" x 16", oil on Canvas board
Sold at $85.00 plus shipping
After doing two practice pieces, exercise paintings from my new study book (fabulous!) Oil Painter's Solution Book: Landscapes, by Elizabeth Tolley, a California painter whom I have long admired (I saw that she had a book out and scooped it up!), I did this one from one of my own photos. I used some of the techniques and color mixes that I'd learned from her book. The practice pieces turned out beautifully, and I'll show them on my skech blog. Isn't this lovely, it's the road leading to my daughter's home, minus the houses. Thanks for looking.

Nice the way you painted the tree masses... really convincing. Good bible verse too (aren't they all!?)
Oh my gosh! This is breathtaking! The heartbreaking beauty of the scene nearly almost made me cry. I can't imagine what it would be like to live amidst such beauty.
P.S. Or to be able to paint the scenery so beautifully -- I'm sure it's your heart and vision that makes the scene so special.
