Barre Farmer's Market - SOLD

Barre Farmer's Market 24" x 30", Oil on Stretched Canvas Sold.
This is a composite painting from photos taken at the Farmer's Market. It actually represents only one litle corner of the market; there are many more vendors. It's a very colorful event every Saturday morning, and it has that wonderful small town feel about it. Lots of people know each other, and are friends with the vendors. Kids romp, perfectly safe. Dogs trot around with their shoppers, babies get toted. This was a difficult and fussy painting, eleven people, imagine! I'm thrilled to be done with it. It's large, 2 feet by almost 3 feet. Thanks for looking.

Oh, Nel, you did a great job! That is INDEED a difficult subject, I was sketching at our farmers' market Saturday and about pulled my hair out! People and goods move constantly...good for the vendors, bad for me!

This is such a joyful painting. I love the lady in black who is laughing heartily. Great job in painting a difficult subject.

What a great job indeed. Wonderful composition. That woman in the center with the pick skirt... you've captured very well the movement of her and the breeze that's lifting the skirt. The faces on the man and woman inspecting something at the table on the right... perfect. The is a great painting of a subject everyone is familiar with and can relate to. This had to be a difficult subject with all those people in it, but you met the challenge and then some!
