Lovely Forelles

Lovely Forelles Watercolor on Arches Paper, 5.75" x 9" Available at $25.00 plus $3.00 mailing. I think these are my favorite kind of pears, to paint that is. I don't know of any pears that aren't delicious, except soggy ones or mushy ones. Ya know? But these are particulary fun to paint with the half red and half ochre colors.

Catching the Glow Oil on Stretched Canvas, 12" x 12" SOLD at $50.00 plus shipping. Detail Below. The bones of this one was a painting done last week, called "Partly Cloudy." NOW I'm pleased with it. It just took some careful palette knife re-working to harmonize it, and push and pull the values. The sky has a lot of lovely subtleties to it, which doesn't really show well in the photos. It's much richer now, too.

This one was first posted on July 6, and I was surprised that it didn't sell, since the hydrangeas are generally very popular. But then I thought maybe it was the odd colored yellow green background, which was a bit different, and maybe not fresh looking. So I've repainted the background, and softened up some of the darks in the cloth. Better?
