I'm not sure how tasty these plums will be, they are really hard right now, probably picked before they were even close to ripe, but they sure are pretty for painting.

Sometimes it's just something different to try to apply paint with a palette knife. It necessarily (at least for me) comes out rougher than a smooth, blended study. But kind of cool too. It has its own appeal.

I think this one turned out beautifully.
I'm fond of those blues and lavender colors in there.
It's been awhile since I did a "path" painting, so this one was really lovely to do.

The photo reference for this one was almost perfect; 2/3 dark, 1/3 light, 2/3 cool and 1/3 warm, with an almost perfect placement of the focal point on the Golden Mean.

You gotta love when that happens.

My friend L. brought these very cool onions with long growing greens still attached. I cut them off when they started turning brown and dry, but so fun to have these nice long stems to add to the painting.
