Trees Study - SOLD

Tree Study Oil on Canvas Panel, 11" x 14" SOLD at $30.00 plus shipping. I had fun doing this one, it's all swish and smoosh, parts with a loaded brush, and parts with the palette knife. I actually didn't realize until I popped it up here how "leany" the trees are. I should have made some of these trunks stand up since even on a hillside, they'd grow up to the light. But since it's basically a "study" done as homework for my Webinar, I'm not going to mess with it.

Plaza had this interesting size canvas the other day when I stopped to load up, so I thought I'd try a couple of paintings on it. I doubt that you'll be able to find a "ready-made" frame in this size, unless you find it online. But for all that, here are a couple more tulips for you.

Small Creek Scene, New Beginners Class - SOLD

Small Creek Scene Oil on Stretched Canvas, 8" x 8" SOLD at $30.00 plus shipping. I had this example (for my last online class) of color massing and using warm colors for light areas, and cool colors for shaded areas, so I painted right on top of it. So easy with the values already established and the composition already done. Although the example is kind of neat, I didn't want to let the canvas go to waste. I am also filling up my Ebay store with some older paintings which I've revised this weekend. I'll put a couple more in tomorrow. Starting bids are lower than when first offered on the blog.
