When I drove past this little pond in South Barre the other evening, the light was just catching the tops of the trees, so I had to stop and shoot a few photos. I really liked the orange glow on the trunks and branches, and brown earth had become sienna. I really am enjoyng all the little ponds and creeks around the area. Thanks for looking.

The mosquitoes won tonight, I could only last about 40 minutes at the pond, before I got a bad case of bites and heebie jeebies. The sky was glorious though. A late night study with a candle lit. This one is using full color, but it actually turned out to be a study in greens and red-oranges. Once it's dry, I'll use a watercolor pencil or two to straighten out the wine bottle lines, and the lable, which wavered a little with a buckling. I like the color of the candle, don't you?
