A Moment of Brights
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 11" x 14"
SOLD at $50 plus $7 shipping.
It's been rainy and grey and blah outside, so I wanted some good bright colors to paint. But nothing fussy, no buildings, people or exact dimensions. A Landscape! This is way off season, but it satisfied my need for some yum colors.
Thanks for looking.

Pitcher and Apples - SOLD
Pitcher and Apples
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 12" x 12"
SOLD
I've decided I really love pitchers and creamers, and have started a little collection (of one so far). This is my first pitcher, and I was thinking polka dots. Well, the white on white turned out to be a whole bunch harder than I thought, so this is a two-day painting. I really like how the pitcher turned out, though, and will paint it again, butmaybe not on a white background.

Pink Tulips - SOLD
Pink Tulips
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 12" x 12"
SOLD at $43 plus $7 shipping.
Detail (Close Up) Below:
Okay, so I'm thinking Spring already. You too?
This one is for "my folks." You have to be able to grab one first once in awhile.
And no worries, if you guys don't want it, I'll post it on the DPW site.
The color in the main photo is fairly true. I used Photoshop and a GIF image, and I think it makes a big difference. The detail photo is just cropped in a simpler Photo editing program, and saved as a Jpeg.

Summer Sittin' - SOLD
Summer Sittin'
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 12" x 12"
SOLD
I don't often do figures, because they're just so hard. This one took me forever to draw out, and I can still see some drawing problems that I didn't get right.
See all the lines? Those are all attempts.
Here's a detail (close up) of the head. I had fun with her hair.
Thanks for looking.

Summer Dapples - SOLD
Summer Dapples
Oil on Canvas Panel, 9" x 12"

The challenge this week is to paint summertime in the winter. Just to give us a bit of warmth.
A nice open field in the sun, and a dirt track shaded by overhanging trees.

SOLD at $33 plus $7 shipping.
This one will be just for my faithful collectors. If none of you want it, than I'll post it on Daily Paintworks. But some of my pieces have to be just for you guys, who have been with me through thick and thin, and so supportive over the years. Thanks!
Can you tell that I approached this one differently? More realistic, more careful. Which do you like better, the swish and splash (from day before yesterday), or the more careful rendering?
