Plein Air School Yard - SOLD
Plein Air School Yard
Oil on Canvas Panel, 8" x 10"
SOLD at $35.00 plus shipping.
OK, the mosquitoes won this round. I thought at first it was nice enough outside, and got all settled without my bug spray, and before I knew it I was scratching everywhere. Retrieved my spray, but the heebie jeebies got me. So this one is only a half hour study, but I like it anyway. The shadow on the top right is from the clip on my Open M box.

Turquoise Bowl and Berries - SOLD
Turquoise Bowl and Berries
Oil on Canvas Panel, 11" x 13"
By Request, to fit a frame. SOLD.
One of my collectors has a frame that she acquired, in an odd size, and she wanted a painting to fit it, with red and turquoise to match the frame. I had to special order the canvas, and wanted to mention that Sourcetek sent me the most wonderful canvas to work on, from their Universal Cotton Canvas line, mounted on Baltic Birch. Yup, it was expensive ($28.00 with the shipping) but oh, my, what a surface to paint on. Like magic canvas, with just enough grab to paint beautifully, but still smooth enough for detail. I can only imagine what their linen feels like to paint on. Happy Strawberry season!

Little Lake Scene 2 - SOLD
Little Lake Scene 2
Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas, 12" x 12" x 1.25"
SOLD at $65.00 plus shipping.
This is a repeat of yesterday's painting, changed up just a little bit. I tried to add a bit more distance into it. It's on hold for one of my collectors who wanted yesterday's piece. It's gallery wrapped and the scene continues all around the edges, so no frame is needed. Thanks for looking!

Little Lake Scene 1 - SOLD
Little Lake Scene 1
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 12" x 12"
SOLD at $45.00 plus shipping.
I was talking to my "mentor" yesterday, who stopped by with some "goodies" for me (thanks, Marilyn!) and she mentioned that perhaps I was lacking a sense of distance in my paintings, that I should think about scale, working smaller, using smaller scale on small canvases. I am thinking about that, and tried to get a sense of distance in this one. I'm calling it 1 since I'm doing it again today.

Marshland and Sky - SOLD
Marshland and Sky
Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas, 8" x 8" x 1.25" depth
SOLD at $45.00 plus shipping.
Detail of side below.
This one is just because I felt like painting a nice sky, with clouds. It's gallery wrapped, and the painting of the edges means no frame is needed. Always a nice consideration, saving you the cost of the frame.
