Waterfall Revised
Waterfall Revised
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 16" x 20"
Available at $75 plus $10 shipping
This was the original, revised to the above. Much better, I think, less emphasis on the rocks, more moodiness to it.
Does anyone know how to revert to the "old" blogger? It's gone automatically to a new version, which isn't really working very well for me. All sorts of little things I can't do anymore.

Blush Iris - SOLD
Blush Iris
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 14" x 18"
Avalable at $100, includes shipping.
I took my time with this one, since I've been doing swishy and sketchy pieces lately, and it felt like time to slow down and do a more careful painting today. I think it works well in the canvas format here. And I really like the colors working together.

Orange Wedges on Turquoise - SOLD
Orange Wedges on Turquoise
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 8" x 10"
Available at $20 plus $5 shipping.
I did this one originally in January, with the wedges on a plate (which was kind of wonky, not really correct visually.) But since I liked the oranges, I decided just to redo it today, and pop it up again. (While I'm working on a larger piece.)

Pot of Pansies - SOLD
Pot of Pansies
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 9" x 12"
Available at $40 plus $7 shipping.
I have spent part of my day drooling over some truly talented artists, Kathy Anderson, Kathy Anderson Studios, who does some splendid and lovely florals, (and I tried to make these pansies a little like what she does), and David Shevlino , who was a judge for this past months RayMar art entries. He does gorgeous and loose work, and I watched every one of his DVD clips, wishing I could get some of his DVDs. Anyway, two amazing artists to check out.

Wild Dogwood - SOLD
Wild Dogwood
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 10" x 20"
SOLD at $80 plus $7 shipping.
An impression of my woods in the backyard, where a precious little white dogwood has volunteered. I'm glad I painted it when I did, as we've had rain the past couple of days, which has caused most of the petals to fall. I think I might try this in acrylics, to catch more of the sense of layers. But I'm pretty happy with this one.
