Not sure about this one. I had it posted earlier, but it was pretty dark, so I "had at it" this morning. My object was to just play with lottsa color, and it shows. There are pastels, bright warm tones, cool greens, purples, you name it, it's in here. Too much, you think?

I generally avoid buildings, since the angles are tricky, but one of my sudents is cencentrating on city scenes, so I figured I'd better some buildings again, in order to be able to give her help. And I like this one. I'm not sure why they painted only one side of the barn red, but it's cool this way.

I am constantly impressed with how some of the daily painters can put so much information onto a 6" x 6" or some other equally small sized canvas. Entire scenes on such a small surface. So I wanted to see what I could do with a landscape. NOT easy. You have to use teensie brushes or the squared edges of larger ones. Your aim with the brush as to be accurate. Hats off to these people, who manage to put people and buildings, entire little worlds into such a tiny format.

Ths light on these beautiful, crisp fall days is just wonderful. I love how different trees catch brightness at different times of the day. This is a view of my neighborhood backyard in the late afternoon.
