Large White Peony - SOLD
Large White Peony
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 16" x 20"
SOLD at $100.00 plus shipping.
I've had this one drawn out for a few days, and spray fixed, but waited until yesterday to begin it. It takes awhile to paint a good sized piece like this, so finished it up today. Don't you love peonies? I've done this one in watercolors before, so this time it's with oils.

Christmas Tree, 2009 - SOLD
Christmas Tree, 2009
Pen and Ink, watercolor, and markers on Cream Paper, 9" x 12"
SOLD at $25.00, includes shipping.
A Blessed Christmas, everyone!
I hope that this day, you have the blessings of our Lord in your life and in your heart. What more could we hope for, a closer walk with Him.
One of my collectors reminded me that a couple of years ago, I did a pen and ink of my daughter's Christmas tree in Massachusetts. So I did one for this year, a little different, and maybe it will become a tradition for this blog. This was so restful to do, all those patient little scritchy lines, which seems to me relaxing, just stroke along until it fills in. I am happy with the results, it seems a bit Victorian looking, don't you think?

View from my Window - SOLD
View from my Window
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 12" x 12"
SOLD at $55.00 plus shipping.
I generally have my back to this window, to catch the light, but the snow is still so lovely, that I turned my chair around today to paint this. Of course, with the wild growth, there is a lot more vine and scrap, but I condensed it. For those of you who celebrate Christmas Eve, I hope that yours is meaningful and precious.

Christmas Poinsettia - NA
Christmas Poinsettia
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 12" x 12"
NA, Revised Dec 1, 2010.
One of my collectors asked me about holiday images recently...like, hey, when? LOL. So, I figured I'd better do something besides a watercolor with my lovely poinsettia plant. The grey shadow (top, center) was a cast shadow from my easel, and isn't in the painting.
