Around The Field - NA
Around The Field
Watercolor on Aquaboard, 9" x 12"
Not Available.
I'm really not sure about Aquaboard. I buy the boards when they're on sale, and have had mixed success with it. Recently I have seen some beautiful work done in watercolors on this surface, so decided to give it another try. I'm still not sure I like it. But here's a little overcast, silvery water scene done on this board, which will be varnished and needs no glass.

Road from the Orchard - NA
Road from the Orchard
Oil on Canvas Panel, 11" x 14"
Not available.
This one is from a photo taken last fall at Hamilton Orchard, early in the season, when the family went apple picking. It's done in a very direct fashion, with no blending. I resisted the urge to go back and dabble and blend. Sometimes I do, but today I could see the painting emerging without fuss, and I'm very pleased with it, even with the roughness.

Standing Pears - SOLD
Standing Pears
Oil on Gessoboard, 9" x 12"
SOLD at $25.00 plus shipping.
This was an old painting that was too thin on the gessoboard; the paint was just slipping all over the board. I put it away, and decided to finish it up today. It's pretty loose, I had to give everything a second coat. Thanks for looking.
Ocean Two - SOLD
Ocean Two
Oil on Canvas Panel, 12" x 12"
SOLD at $50.00 plus shipping.
A friend of my daughter requested a simple ocean scene, and so I did two and let her pick. This one is a little more lavender than the first one. I don't really feel that I've "got" it yet, but that always takes time and lots of practice.

Two White Roses -- SOLD
White Rose on Stretched Canvas, Oil on Stretched Canvas, 8" x 10" - SOLD
Since I had two requests for this little white rose, I decided to do them in tandem. Using different surfaces, I painted them back to back, finishing one step on each one, then moving on. It was interesting to see how differently they turned out, even using the same mixes of colors.
One for Hal and Dawn, one for Holly.

Pomegranates and Apple
Pomegranates and Apple
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 10" x 10"
Available at $70.00 plus shipping.
The pomegranates came with cutting and serving suggestions, so we'll see what to do with them today. This is one of my new fabrics, a nice grey green, seafoamy color with a large pattern. This will be the last of the fabric paintings for a bit, as I have a couple of requests to work on next.
