Pomegranates on Fabric Oil on Stretched Canvas, 10" x 10" SOLD at $70.00 plus shipping. Yes, I got new fabric. This pattern was so busy though, that I had to find something with oomph to go atop it. The pomegranates do have such presence that I figured they might work. Red on red is kind of cool, I think. And Happy Birthday to Picasso today (and me, too.)

Yes, especially at this time of the year, when the NE falls are so breathtaking. So we'll just paint color, instead of walking in it.

Goldens on Pattern Oil on Stretched Canvas, 8" x 10" SOLD at $50.00 plus shipping. I was actually working on another fall scene today, but then remembered from experience that if you do two of a similar painting on two days, the computer for the Daily Painter's Gallery "sees" it as the same painting, and there won't be a "pick up" for that night. So I'll post the fall scene tomorrow. I do like painting golden delicious apples, because of their opaque skin and the soft colors.

(In some parts of the country, anyway.) The light here reminded me of it, that balmy air and light of late fall afternoons, when the color is softer and the moist smell of leaves on the ground floats in the air. You know the smell I mean?

Pepper Polka Oil on Canvas Panel, 8" x 8" SOLD at $50.00 plus shipping. A single pepper today, on red polka dotted fabric. When I put the spot on this, the red just bounced everywhere, making even the yellow pepper look reddish. Fun painting it.

Peppers and Stripes - SOLD

Peppers and Stripes Oil on Canvas Board, 11" x 14" SOLD at $85.00 plus shipping. I am really pleased with how the peppers turned out on this one. They actually look transluscent in spots, which is what I was seeing, and then the nice little stripe reflections make them look shiny. The striped fabric is fun too, not just a boring backdrop.
