High Summer Path - SOLD

High Summer Path Oil on Stretched Canvas, 8" x 10" SOLD at $85.00 plus shipping. I don't think I could like this one any better if it was painted by another artist. (And that's saying a lot!) I remember stopping on the road to take this photo in Maryland, I think it was on the way home from plein air painting with a group. It took all of twenty minutes to paint, nice thick paint to cover over a failed pansy painting that was scaped down but still tacky. Isn't it just a small gem? I really like the "air" in it. She liked the one from yesterday, but has a frame in this size, and asked if I would do it again in the size to fit her frame. Oh, well, since it's an iris... Stream on the Edge of Spring - SOLD

Stream on the Edge of Spring Oil on Canvas Board, 10" x 12" SOLD at $50.00 plus shipping. First time out this season. I think I forgot everything I learned last year about plein air painting, but it was wonderful to be out in the sunshine and fresh air anyway. This is Galloway Brook in Cook's Canyon, here in Barre. The stream was actually golden with the sun shining to the bottom of it. I do like the birches in this one. Thanks for looking.

Apple Reflection
