Even though it felt like my Muse had gone on vacation somewhere else today, I like the way this one turned out, after quite a bit of fussing. Against the gray and the white, the yellows really glow. There was a plate at first, which simply wasn't going to happen, so I took it out, and now I'm glad I did. Thanks for looking.

Eggs in Glass Bowl - SOLD

Eggs in Glass Bowl Oil on Canvas board, 8" x 8" Sold at $60.00 plus shipping. I've seen this done before, and in general, I admire photo-realism for how exacting it is. I've copied the idea from other artists, but the eggs are from my daughter's fridge. I wanted to see how it could be done, and I think if I did something like this again, I'd know better how to approach it. It's actually kind of fun, using small brushes and blending very carefully. You don't have a choice but to take your time, and I really could have kept going on this. Thanks for looking.

Hilltop View- NA

Hilltop View Oil on Canvas board, Plein Air Painting 9" x 12" Not available, painted over. I had noticed a beautiful hillside farm on the way to soccer practice for my granddaughter, and today stopped and asked if I could drive to the top of the hill and paint. What a view of the valley from on top of the hill. But I decided to paint the view looking up, and face away from both the lowering sun and the wind. A beautiful afternoon to be out painting. Fallen Leaves - SOLD

Pretty much all that was left of color was a few maple leaves in faded yellows, and the rich browns of oak leaves. I did find one leaf on the lawn that still had a bit of yellow-green in it; I like the small touch of green. Thanks for looking.
