Sitting down after class this aftenoon, I was thinking landscape, and found a couple of roses to paint instead. Figured they would either work or be a disaster. (I have had trouble with roses.) These are actually not bad. Yay!

Sky Study - SOLD

Sky Study
Oil over Acrylic on Canvas Panel, 9" x 12"
SOLD at $20.00 plus $7.00 shipping.

Interesting new idea from the "Essentials of Painting Skies" Webinar yesterday: paint a sky in the negative. I first painted the entire sky in pink, white, orange acrylic and let that dry, then painted in the blue overtop in oils with negative painting. Very cool.
