November Apples - SOLD

November Apples Oil on Stretched Canvas, 8" x 10" SOLD at $40.00 plus $5.00 shipping. Ever notice how shiny and reflective the skins on the Red Delicious apples are? I was thinking to do the reflections like I would a water reflection, skimming across the top with a soft brush loaded with thinned paint. It didn't exactly work, but I did try to show how the skins reflect light.

Just an Apple 2 - Gifted

Just an Apple 2 Oil on Stretched Canvas, 6" x 6" Gifted. A Red Delicious apple, simple and clean. I always enjoy painting the apples, even though most of my deep reds are transparent and hard to manage.

River Rocks - SOLD

Beach Folks - SOLD

Beach Folks Oil on Stretched Canvas, 16" x 16" SOLD at $75.00 plus shipping. I've had this one drawn out for awhile, (I've done it before) remembering that it was fun to paint. This time it seemed hard to paint, all those little areas of paint, all those stripes. I do like the water in this one. Funny how your attitude makes such a difference, I've been in a bit of a slump, which probably makes everything harder to do.

Dark Iris - NA

Dark Iris
Oil on Stretched Canvas, 12" x 12"
Not Available, Revised 1/8/2010.

It's been raining here for the last five days or so, overcast, wet and mucky. I've had the doldrums, and decided an iris was just the ticket. I can usually make myself feel better with an iris. Today we have some sunshine, ahhh, what a relief. So this is my "out of the doldrums iris."
