Cyclamen - SOLD

Cyclamen Watercolor on 300 lb Cold Press Strathmore Gemini Paper 13" x 17" Sold at $60.00 plus shipping. I love cyclamen in the winter time, with their delicate pink flowers. They add so much to a windowsill. This painting wasn't as much fun to do, because of the paper. This is not my favorite paper, although it gets rave reviews by some watercolorists. I'm happy enough with the results to be satisfied, but next time, I'm back to Arches. Thanks for looking.

Small Woodland Scene - SOLD

Small Woodland Scene
Acrylic on Canvas board, 8" x 10"
SOLD at $40 plus shipping.
I had a chance to be in the studio today (thanks to the Doray teens both yesterday and today) so I grabbed a cheery creek photo and had some fun. Thanks for looking.

Lemons Watercolor - SOLD

Lemons Watercolor 9" x 12" on Arches Watercolor Paper SOLD at $20.00 plus shipping. A quick little waterclor study for yesterday, done last night when it was deliciously quiet in the house. My Elements program was being wonky, so I couldn't post. The computer needed a sleep, as did I. Thanks for looking.

January Tulips - SOLD

January Tulips Watercolor on Saunders Waterfor 140 lb Cold press Paper, 17.5" x 21.5" Sold at $100.00 plus $15.00 shipping This one is large and I think it turned out really nice. On Sunday, I took my friend Carol, who doesn't drive, to a fancy spanking new grocery store, and couldn't resist some "fancies" like the tart from yesterday, and these tulips. The droop factor was from sitting in the back of the van in the cold most of the day, but they've perked and straightened right up, gorgeous! Nice that someone else besides me can now enjoy them too! Thanks for looking.

Tulip Sketch

Tulip Sketch Silver/Black Ink with Watercolor on Hot Press Watercolor Paper, 10" x 10" Available at $30.00 plus shipping. There's something so free and committed at the same time, working with bamboo or reed pens. The line is broad and funky, and it was fun using the silver ink with black mixed in. Once it's down, it's down, and you have to be sketchy with it, there's no changing your mind. Thanks for looking.

Little Tart SOLD

Little Tart Acrylic on Canvas Panel, 6" x 6" Sold at $40.00 plus shipping. This one is tiny. I knew I only had a short while to paint today, so tackled a small canvas and a fairly easy subject. Had it all done and ready to take pictures this afternoon, and it did a swan dive, head first into the palette. At that point, I had to clean it up, and walk away until after bedtime for the kids, to make repairs. It cleaned up farily well with the acrylics. Thanks for looking.

Two Mangoes - SOLD

Two Mangoes Watercolor on Hot Press 140 lb Waterford Paper, 10" x 10" Sold at $15 plus $5 shipping. I'm not crazy about hot press paper, it's so smooth that it doesn't feel like it has a "grip" to it. But since it's what I had handy, I tried getting the wonderful colors of these two mangoes. It's very simple, but I figured someone might like the colors. Thanks for looking.

Sprouting Garlic Two - SOLD

Sprouting Garlic Two Watercolor on Twinrocker Cold Press, 7" x 7" Sold at $25 plus $5 shipping. This is another version of the little watercolor from yesterday. These are little and fun to do. Besides, Twinrocker is like "magic paper." Thanks for looking.

Garlic Sketch with Bamboo Pen - SOLD

Garlic Sketch with Bamboo Pen 10" x 10", Watercolor, Bamboo pen, Walnut Ink on Hot Press 140 lb paper SOLD at $30 plus $5 shipping. I don't generally like hot press paper, but the bamboo pen with walnut ink was a dream to work with on this paper (Saunders Waterford). It had just enough scratch and drag to make it feel good. I also really like the marks from the bamboo pens. Thanks for looking.

Garlic Bulb Sprouting - SOLD

Garlic Bulb Sprouting 7" x 7", Watercolor on 140 lb Twin Rocker Rough Paper Sold at $25.00 plus $5.00 shipping I sat up late last night and did a couple of pieces with watercolor and other things (watercolor pencils, bamboo pens and ink) to have to post this morning. It was a delight to do these little guys. Thanks for looking.
